The answers are 16/2 or 8/1 13/2 8/3 24/63 So for the first number (8) there are many answers possible. Basically 16/2 is equal to 8 because 2 goes into 16 eight times. An easier way to do this is to just put it over 1 because anything over 1 is equal to itself. For the 6 1/2 and 2 2/3 you just take the first number and times it by the denominator and add it to the numerator but keep the same denominator. So 6 times 2 equals 12 and add that to 1 and you get 13/2. The same goes for the 2 2/3. Times 2 and 3 and you get 6. Add 6 to 2 and you get 8 and keep the same denominator so the answers is 8/3. For the last one 8/21 an easy way to do it is to just multiply the each half of the fraction by the same number. So in this case, all I did was times the fraction by 3 and ended up with 8 times 3 in the top and 21 times 3 in the bottom. So the answer is 24/63. Hope this explains it and good luck.

for 8: any number is exactly the same if one is on the bottom. therefore, 8/1 = 8. same with 7/1 = 7. any number over one is itself. for 6 1/2: all you have to do is turn this into an improper fraction. you multiply the bottom number by the whole number. so 6x2. this equals 12. now you just add this number to the top number to = 13. so you're final answer will be 13/1. for 2 2/3: do the same thing as above! so 2x3 = 6. 6+2 = 8. so the final answer is 8/3 ! for 8/21: for this one i would just multiply. pick a number (we'll use 2 here) and multiply both halfs of the fraction by it. so 8x2 = 16, and 21x2 = 42. so your final answer is 16/42. hope this helps!! sorry if im not too good of an explainer lol...

there are infinate solutions for each problem. all you have to do is write a fraction that when solved (the top number is divided by the bottom number), equals the number you are given. for example, for the first one, you could say 8/1, 16/2, 24/3... all the way to 15243678800/1905459850, and beyond :) so, answers for your problems are... 16/2 13/2 8/3 16/42 you can double-check using your calculator like this... 16/2= 8= 8... correct 13/2= 6.5= 6 1/2... correct 8/3 = 2.666 = 2 2/3 correct and so on :) hope i've helped; good luck! :) cheers

16/2 13/2 8/3 16/42 the first one i just kinda made it into a division problem because thats basically what fractions are.. the second one i just added the 6 to the 1/2 (so what i did was 6 times 2 because you have to do one entire 2 to make it a whole number)..the third one i pretty much used the same technique as the 2nd..& for the last one i just multiplyed the top & bottom number by two, by multiplying evenly it makes the fractions equal

If they just want you to write it in another way.... 8=8/1 6 1/2 =13/2 (You take 2*6+1=13, then you put it over the original denominator which is 2) So you take the denominator times the whole number plus the numerator, then put that over the denominator. Hope this is what you are looking for and hope it helps.
