Question: I'm so dead I still don't know what my topic should be. Let me explain, the oral has to be 10 minutes and it has to be about a book we studied this year (A complicated kindness by Miriam Towes, Dubliners by James Joyce, or The strange case of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde by Stevenson) It can be in the form of debating , writing, acting, music, or art. And you dont have to focus one thing in a book but you could compare books. Acting and music are out, I dont think I could do those. I like art but hte thing is they won't grade you on how good your art piece is but how well you can expalain in regards to the book(s) , I dont think I could talk about it for 10 minutes. Unless someone could proove me wrong. Hmm I think just speaking about something is the easiest except i don't have any ideas on what to speak of. So it's either between art( if you can convince me, or discussing an issue in one of the book(s) (not sure what either) Best answer gets 10 points! Thanks I really appreciate your help!

Dear Me, I have a great idea! Who is your favorite artist? Find one if you don't have a favorite. Someone famous like anyone on the link provided below. Look at all of your favorite's pieces of art. Then begin to create a piece to go along with YOUR book a la Monet or Picasso or whoever.... This will be cool because you can easily talk about THAT artist, where and when he lived and compare him to the author of YOUR book. How are they similar, how are they different? What geographic areas were they from and when did they live? (bring note cards to guide you! ) THEN you shift to discussing your creation. How did you create it? What steps did you take? Why did you draw what you did? Why did you choose the colors that you chose? This will be a really cool presentation! Your time will fly by when you split it into five minutes on the famous artist that inspired you, a comparison of that artist to your author. Then five minutes talking about the process of creating your piece. How you did it, why you illustrated what you did, your choice of colors, and how you would change it if you had to do it over... Then ask: Are there any questions? COOOOLLLLLL!

Try to talk to him, ask him something about your homework, lessons, teacher... and then talk about other things, like what he's going to do today, as the weather is so nice/bad... Flirt with him, maye try to touch him innocently and watch his reaction. If it looks like he's interested, just ask him, if he likes to join you for ... Summon up all your corage and ask him, I know it's not easy, but if you don't ask, you'll regret it afterwards... Good luck!

strike up conversations with him and if he is really interested then he'll ask you for your number. start a conversation by talking about a class or your weekend and see where the conversation leads

i read only one book: The strange case of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde by Stevenson, but i think u can debate about it. u can give both sides of the book, with one side from jekyll and the other from hyde. debate about the death of the man and whether it is right or wrong to do the experiment and change ur personality. pretend to be lawyer and talk for both sides of the story (like two personalities of jekyll). ask whether good could really overcome evil, for jekyll (the good guy) could not overcome his evil side. evil stronger than good? debate that. u can just do writing, not debating. write about how good and evil can transform a man, and what the theme is. website below might help u. talk about human morality, and yin and yang, and how evil is stronger than good.

DO JEKYLL AND HYDE AND ALTERNATE BEING DR. JEKYLL FIRST GIVING HIS OPINION ON HYDE. AND THEN BE MR. HYDE GIVING HIS OPINION ON DR. JEKYLL

Where is the computer? It's on the desk. Where's the lamp It's next to the books. Where's the chair. It's in front of the desk. Where are the books? They are between the computer and the lamp. And, finally, where is the cat? It's under the desk.
