Whether you do a thesis depends on the school. Mine gave you a choice of 30 credits + thesis, or 36 credits. Even though it's applied math, my master's was much more theoretical than my bachelor's. Suggestion: look for a program that let's you take a couple of courses in a subject where you can actually apply the math to.

If she wants to try for a Masters degree, be a good boyfriend and be supportive of her. It's not your place to tell her what she should or shouldn't be doing with her life. I think maybe YOU are the one overestimating your affect on HER grades. Your whole post comes across and incredibly douchy. Incredibly.

I easily have only accomplished a organic Maths degree, then a draw close, and is presently doing a PhD in a suitable 10 British college. a million.undergraduate became really effortless for me. I speent round a million-2h an afternoon on commonplace to do uni artwork, and graduated proper of the three hundred and sixty 5 days. yet some scholars learn days and nights and do not look to ever comprehend the precis techniques. 2. compared, PhD in organic Maths is so confusing for me, I at times spend a remarkable style of time attempting to study a clean definition without fulfillment, yet a number of my PhD friends look to get them without delay . i'm able to assert that's effortless for them at the same time as confusing for me,and gaining know-how of/attending to understand Maths develop right into a warfare. i'd be quitting quickly. so this is confusing or effortless searching on no matter if you've an inherent ability for it. both you study it without problems or you warfare, i do not see many situations in between. i'm hoping you'll fall into the first type. organic Maths isn't about calculation in any respect. this is more advantageous about precis definitions, mathematicians create a set of guidelines (axioms) and then they ask your self what outcomes must be deducted from those guidelines. the artwork is really theorectical and extremely almost has no purposes. so those who attempt this really because a million. they get excitement from gaining know-how of ineffective yet intellectually stimulating stuff (a dull ringer for some human beings get excitement from playing/gaining know-how of chess) 2.a sturdy Maths degree makes it effortless to get a sturdy activity, because employers understand we are wise and we may be able to study new issues truly. desire this enables. for me doing a BSc in organic Maths became a very sturdy decision.

Once you get a BS, it is not that difficult to get a MS, because you concentrate in the area that you want and do not have to take General Education courses. The courses that you have to take are very similar to the ones you take in your Senior year. Most Universities required a thesis. But it is not too difficult. Those who get a BS but not a MS do it because of time and money problems, and many do not needed for their work in industry.

An undergrad in art and an MBA in advertising would work (sort of like Sex in the City?)(. I would do NYU and Columbia for MBA (my alma mater). That way she knows all about life in NYC.
